Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. Stone is the youngest from three sister. Stone was in second grade when she was five years old. She was considered to be academically gifted. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Additionally, she participated at Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt, in 1977 made the move into New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week after. In Europe, she lived for a year in Milano and Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling within Europe she decided to take up acting while living there. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed reviews.
