Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist who is also an author as well as the anchor of the morning news program on CNN called "New Day." She lives in Westport, CT, and was elected to Westport Country Playhouse's board trustees. Camerota is an editor for more than 30 years, covered news stories as well as international. The award she received was one Emmy Award in her early career when she covered the arrest of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award after she broke the devastating news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary board member following being on the board for 7 consecutive years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who serves as the current chair of the Westport board having served as its chair since 2013, has also been named an incoming board member. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October 2015, and continues serving on the board from 2006. The board of trustees comprises 26 individuals.
