Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss, a bluegrass fiddler from Tennessee at age 19 years old, became a international star in 1990 when she winning the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat not just due to her age, however, the album that won her the award, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third release in Krauss's catalog. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released around age 16. Champaign Illinois local's age, 16. She had already signed with Rounder Records, one of the leading folk labels in the age group of 14. Krauss has always been known for her extraordinary virtuosity, and her accomplishments in her early years. Her devotion to bluegrass music, which is one of the oldest and least appreciated forms in American traditions, is an ongoing thing.
